LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (HOWARD STREET, POLLARD STREET, COG STREET AND LAMBERT DRIVE, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over the following lengths of highway;
i. Howard Street from its junction with Hargher Street to its junction with Perth Street in the Borough of Burnley.
ii. Pollard Street from its junction with Howard Street to its junction with Cog Street in the Borough of Burnley.
iii. Cog Street from its junction with Hargher Street to its junction with Lambert Drive in the Borough of Pendle.
iv. Lambert Drive from its junction with Howard Street to its junction with Rear 128 to 136 Accrington Road in the Borough of Burnley.

2. The prohibition will be operative from 0700 hours on Monday 9th October 2017 until 1700 hours on Friday 8th June 2018 or until completion of the works within this period.

3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- Lambert Drive – A679 Accrington Road – Hargher Street – Harold Street – Paisley Street – Colin Street – Bruce Street – Howard Street and vice versa. The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow housing development works to be carried out.
