THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN (DARWEN STREET BLACKBURN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 2017)

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, propose to make the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to allow for water repair and maintenance.

The effect of the Order is to close Darwen Street from its junction with Astley Gate in southerly direction to its junction with George Street The Order will come into force on the 11th September 2017 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by

the 10th November 2017.

The alternative routes for affected traffic will be via

Barton Street, Blakey Moor, Alma Street, Barbara

Castle Way, Montague Street, Wainwright Way,

Canterbury Street and vice versa.
