Proposed development at Gilling Bridge, High Street, Gilling West, Richmond.
I give notice that the Corporate Director, Business & Environmental Services is applying to North Yorkshire County Council for planning permission for dismantling and rebuilding of all sections of parapet mainly using existing stone, raking and hand pointing of other areas of parapet, vegetation removal, rake out loose mortar and repoint areas requiring works on cutwaters.
In the opinion of the County Planning Authority, the proposal affects Gilling Bridge, High Street, Gilling West, Richmond, a building which has been listed as of special architectural or historic interest.
The part of Gilling West within which the proposed development is situated has been designated a Conservation Area under the above Act as the area is of special architectural or historic interest the character of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.
Members of the public may view the application, the plans, and other documents submitted with the application at Richmondshire District Council, Mercury House, Station House, Richmond, North Yorkshire during all reasonable hours until 9 June 2017. Please note that this may require a prior appointment. You are advised to check with the Council before making your visit. The application may also be viewed using the Online Planning Register on the County Council's web-site www.northyorks.gov.uk
