(MICRO ASPHALT SURFACING PROGRAMME -VARIOUS ROADS, COUNTY DURHAM) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE & SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2017

The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to temporarily close/ restrict the speed limit of all vehicular traffic, including pedal cycles, as depicted on site by appropriate road signs: A) Temporary Road Closures: Annfield Plain: South View ns/William/Railway/Welsh St & Wesley/Antliff Tce; Barnard Castle: King St; Billy Row: Stanley Way; Bishop Auckland: Chatsworth/Cleveland Ave, Blackhall Colliery: Coronation/ Hepscott Ave; Blackhill: Durham Rd (rear), George/John St, Thomas St, Ritson/Wesley St, Templar St, Oxley St, St Andrews Cl; Bowburn; Dallymore Dr/Marlene Ave/George St; Brandon: Commercial St (rear); Burnopfield: Lilac Cres; Chester-le-Street: Ashley Tce, Orchard Tce, Hedworth St, Ernest Tce/Lynn St/ Thomas St, & Benson St/Ramsey St/ Baden St/Allen St/Melville St; Cockfield: Mayfield Tce; Craghead: Thomas St (rear); Crook: Larchfield Gdns, Hamsterley Dr/Satley Cl/ Collier Cl & Heather Ln; Dawdon: Londonderry St/Embankment Rd. The max. duration of a temporary order is 18 months; this Order is required from 1st April 2017 for 5 months or until the works are completed. For operational reasons these dates may be subject to alteration and will be signed accordingly. Relevant speed restrictions, road closures & alternative routes will be signed to vehicular traffic, where applicable.
