(PATH LEADING TO FISHBURN WOODS HOLDFORTH NO.2 FORMER RAILWAY BRIDGE-BISHOP MIDDLEHAM) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH/BRIDGE CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all traffic a 525m length of path that extends eastwards from the junction with Footpath No.4 Bishop Middleham Parish to adjacent to the A177 overbridge south of the Bishop Middleham/Fishburn crossroads by reason of remedial works to be undertaken to the bridge. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 6 months and is required from 09/02/17 for 6 months or until the bridge is safe to re-open whichever is sooner. Alternative route: Pedestrians : from the western side of the closure from Footpath No. 4 southwards and turning eastwards onto Footpath No. 5 passed Sprucely Farm to A177 and then northwards to a track leading down to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa. Cyclists and horse riders: from the western side of the closure 1) northwards via Bridleway No. 9 Bishop Middleham Parish; or 2) southwards via Bridleway No.9 Bishop Middleham and Bridleway Nos. 3 & 62 Sedgefield Parish, and Bridleway No. 1 Bradbury Parish; and the roads of A689, A177, C26 Stonybeck Lane and C69 High Street, Bishop Middleham, and vice versa.
(LEEMAN'S LANE/HETT MILL LANE JUNCTION
WITH A688, HETT) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The Council, on 01/02/17 made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic a 2metre length of Leeman's Lane/Hett Mill Lane, Hett from its junction with road A688 by reason of danger to the public and serious damage to the highway verge during on-going works on A688 East of Thinford roundabout adjacent to the said road. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 04/02/17 for 9 weeks. Alternative route: from the north western side of the closure from Hett Village onto A167 and southwards to Thinford Roundabout and following the diversion route for A688 eastbound closure - south on A167 to Rushyford, east on A689 to A1(M) junction 60 or continuing to Sands Hall Roundabout Sedgefield then northwards on A177 to A688 at Tursdale to the south eastern side of the closure, and vice versa. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for the above 2 closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
