(VARIOUS ROADS 10KM ROAD RACE, CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 16a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of road in the Borough of Ribble Valley;
i. B6243 Edisford Road from its junction with Lancaster Drive to its junction with Clifton Road
ii. B6243 Pig Hill for its full length
iii. B6243 New Lane for its full length
iv. Clitheroe Lane for its full length
v. Mitton Road for its full length
vi. Clitheroe Road from its junction with Mitton Road to its junction with B6243 Edisford Road.
1. The prohibition will be operative between 0915 hours and 1145 hours on Tuesday 27th December 2016, or until completion of event.
In the event that this race cannot take place due to adverse weather conditions the prohibitions will be operative between 0915 hours and 1145 hours on Sunday 15th January 2017, or until completion of event.
3. There is no signed alternative route. Advance notice of the proposed route and the times of operation of the closure will be posted on site to assist motorists in making alternative arrangements during the period of the closure.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to facilitate the event "10km road race" to take place.
