Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Lune Dr, Whitefield) Temporary Closure Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
Lune Drive, Whitefield - Temporary Road Closure
The closure will come in to place to enable installation of telecoms within carriageway
Alternative route will be via Lune Dr, Albert Rd, Ribble Dr and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 14/06/2022 and shall remain in
force for a period of up to 3 months, (Anticipated duration of works - 3 days)

The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Hamilton Road Area, Whitefield), (Residents Only Parking) (Shared Residents Only Parking/Limited Waiting) And Revocation Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-
1. Parking Places for Resident permit holders only ('Past this point' restriction) 8:00am - 8:00pm Mon - Sat inclusive applying to the following streets:

Street Length

Grosvenor Avenue Full length

2. Designated Residents only parking bays 8:00am - 8:00pm Mon - Sat inclusive

Hamilton Road
North Side from the existing boundary of No.6 Hamilton Road in a south westerly direction to the westerly boundary of No.24 Hamilton Road North Side from the easterly boundary of No.26 Hamilton Road in a south westerly direction to the westerly boundary of No. 40 Hamilton Road Grosvenor Road
East Side from the back of the footway of Hamilton Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 90m
3. Introduction of limited waiting, 8.00am - 6.00pm Mon - Sat, Waiting limited to 3 hours return prohibited within 2 hour (Permit holders exempt from restrictions)

South Side from a point 65m west of the westerly kerbline of Bury New Road for a distance of 70m in a westerly direction.
South Side from a point 40m east of the easterly kerbline of Higher Lane for a distance of 75m in an easterly direction.
The Metropolitan Borough of Bury (Hamilton Road Area, Whitefield) (Residents only parking zone) order 2008 and The Metropolitan Borough of Bury (Hamilton Road, Whitefield) (Limited Waiting Order) 2014 are hereby revoked in their entirety as the above proposals will include the restrictions from those orders. A copy of the draft Order, plans showing the road affected, a street schedule of and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order and introducing the proposals may be requested by email at

The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Off Street Designated Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2007 (Amendment N08) (Electric Taxi Parking Bays) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all enabling powers, proposes to make amendments to the above Order. The effect of the amendments will be to amend The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Off Street Designated Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2007 by including the provision of Electric Taxi Parking Bays at car parks in Bury at Trinity St, Foundry St and at Lily Hill St Whitefield.
A copy of the draft Amendment Order (including the exemptions contained within them), plans showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be requested by email (see below) or alternatively, inspected at the reception desk at Town Hall, Knowsley St Bury BL9 0SW, Bury during normal office hours.
Objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to Highway Network Management, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke St, Bury or by email to
