Highways Act Section 90A Roundhill Road, Newton Lane and Whitby Way. Proposed construction of humped speed tables

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with
Section 90A of the Highways Act 1990 Darlington
Borough Council proposes to install Speed Tables in
Roundhill Road, Newton Lane and Whitby Way.
The proposals comprise: -
6 No. Constructed Speed Tables.
Dimensions.
1 No at 100mm high (maximum), overall length

9.0 metres, width covers the extents of the carriageway on Roundhill Road. On/off ramp gradient 1 in 15.
2 No at 100mm high (maximum), overall length

9.0 metres, width covers the extents of the carriageway on Newton Lane. On/off ramp gradient 1 in 15.
3 No at 100mm high (maximum), overall length

9.0 metres, width covers the extents of the carriageway
on Whitby Way. On/off ramp gradient 1 in 15.
Arrangement of Speed Tables.
Crossing features extend 4.5m in either direction along
the carriageway perpendicular to the centreline of their
respective named road.
Locations
1 No on Roundhill Road at a location 13.3m south of its junction with Friars Pardon.
1 No on Newton Lane at a location 17.6m Northwest of
the boundary of 126 and 128.
1 No on Newton Lane at a location 0.5m Southeast of
the boundary of 112 and 114.
1 No on Whitby Way at the boundary of no 56 and 58.
1 No on Whitby Way at a location 2m Southeast of the
boundary of no 65 and 67.
1 No on Whitby Way at a location 4.5m East of the
boundary of no 85 and 87.

All dimensions and locations in this notice are
approximate. Traffic signs and road markings will be
installed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations
and General Directions 2016. Plans showing the
locations of the Speed Table features may be inspected
at Darlington Borough Council, 17 Allington Way,
Darlington, DL1 4QB.
