(C18 DEERNESS BRIDGE, USHAW MOOR) (TEMPORARY WEIGHT LIMIT & SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2016
The Council, on 19.05.16 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic: (a) with a max gross weight exceeding 18 tonnes from proceeding on a 100m length of C18 that crosses over Deerness Bridge that extends southwards from a point 200m south of the centre line to side (no.55) Station Road, Ushaw Moor; and (b) from travelling at a speed in excess of 30mph on a 620m length of Road C18 between the existing 30mph limits at Station Road, Ushaw Moor and adjacent Barley Rise, New Brancepeth to enable the installation of a temporary bridge prior to bridge replacement works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 23.05.16 and until works commence to replace the permanent bridge. Alternative route: for vehicular traffic during the bridge closure is from the northern side of the closure from C18 / B6308 staggered junction in Ushaw Moor, easterly along B6308 to A690 Stonebridge* then south westerly along A690 for vehicles under 14' 6" turning north westerly along C18 from Langley Moor to New Brancepeth to the southern side of the restriction, and vice versa. An HGV (over 14' 6") during the bridge closure and weight restriction in 1) would be as above but continue from *Stonebridge via A690 north easterly to Nevilles Cross then southerly on A167 to Honest Lawyer and turning generally north westerly along B6300 to A690 Meadowfield, south westerly on A690 and turning north westerly on C154 Sawmills Lane leading to New Brancepeth, and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY BYWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2016
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date ofthis notice to make anOrder underSection 14 (1) ofthe Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular and equestrian traffic a 350m length of Byway No. 47 Urpeth Parish and a 310m length of Byway No. 62 Stanley in the vicinity of Home Farm, Beamish that extends between Beamish Golf Club to the junction with Unclassified road 12.1 adjacent to South Lodge by reason of block-paving traffic calming works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 6 months and is required for 3 weeks from 06.06.16. Alternative route: to vehicular traffic from the southern side of the closure from A693 RoundaboutsouthofBeamishMuseumwesterlyalong A693 then north westerly via C128 Hill top road / Pelaw Avenue to A6076 then northwards to Beamishburn Road and north easterly to the junction with Byway 62 leading to Beamish Hall to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for the above 2 closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Dated: 19 May 2016
