ROAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS (AMENDMENT NO.9) ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The effect of the Order, which comes into operation on the IS* October 2021, will be to introduce no waiting at any time in the following lengths of Banks Road - the east side, from a point 118 metres to a point 132 metres south of the end of the cul de sac; the north side, from its junction with McMullen Road westwards for a distance of 35 metres; the north and east side, from a point 60 metres west of its junction with McMullen Road westwards and northwards for a distance of 203 metres; the south side, from its junction with McMullen Road westwards for a distance of 108 metres; and the west side, from a point 112 metres to a point 132 metres south of the end of the cul de sac.
The notice in respect of these restrictions, which was published on the 181* October 2019 as part of the Darlington Borough Council Road Traffic Restrictions (Amendment No.1) Order 2019, also indicated that it was proposed to introduce no waiting Mon-Sat 9am-5pm in part of Banks Road. It has been decided not to proceed with this restriction. This Order will amend the Darlington Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) Consolidation Order 2019. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision of it on the grounds that it is not within the power of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or of any requirement of that Act or any enactment made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from the date of this notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
