DARLINGTON BOROUGH COONCIL ROAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS [AMENDMENT N0.4) ORDER 2021

Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1,2,4,32,35,45,46,47,49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The effect of the Order will be to:

1. amend the lengths of road in Clifton Road and Victoria Road on which there is a no waiting and no loading/unloading restriction



2. introduce no waiting and no loading/unloading restrictions in parts of Backhouse Street, Park Place and Park Street



3. amend the lengths of road in Bedford Street, Hargreave Terrace, Park Place, Park Street, Victoria Road and Victoria Road North Back on which there is a no waiting restriction



4. introduce pay and display parking places in Victoria Road North Back from 8am-6pm all days. The maximum stay will be 2 hours and the charge will be 50p per 30 minutes or part thereof



5. remove two pay and display parking places, one in Park Place and one in Victoria Road



6. introduce loading bays 8am-6pm Mon-Sat in Clifton Road and Hargreave Terrace



7. introduce a loading bay at all times to Bedford Street



B. amend the lengths of road in Victoria Road which are limited waiting parking places 8am-6pm Mon-Sat

9. remove the restrictions that were in operation Mondays and Thursdays to restrict the waiting of livestock vehicles using the former cattle market

The Order will amend the Darlington Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) Consolidation Order 2019 and the Darlington Borough Council (On Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2019. The proposed Darlington Borough Council Road Traffic Restrictions (Amendment No.1) Order 2020 advertised on the 15th January 2020 is not being proceeded with.
