DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL EXPERIMENTAL ORDER No.1 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Darlington Borough Council ('the Council') have made the above named Experimental Road Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ('the Act') on the 30th March 2021. Whilst this Order is in force The Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic) Order 2019 shall be varied as follows:
All motor vehicles shall be prohibited from proceeding along the following length of road 11.30am to 10.30pm on all days:
Consicliffe Road - from its junction with Grange Road westwards to its junction with Hogarth Court (exemptions are listed in the Order)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Darlington Borough Council ('the Council') have made the above named Experimental Road Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ('the Act') on the 30th March 2021. Whilst this Order is in force The Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic) Order 2019 shall be varied as follows:
All motor vehicles shall be prohibited from proceeding along the following length of road Monday to Saturday 10am to 10pm on each day; and Sunday 10.30am to 10pm: Skinnergate - from its junction with Duke Street southwards to its junction with Blackwellgate (exemptions are listed in the Order)

. An appointment to view the documents in person at the Darlington Town Hall may be booked in the same way. These changes will come into force on the 12th April 2021 for an experimental period of 18 months, unless suspended earlier and, within this time, the Council will consider if the provisions of the Experimental Orders should be continued in force indefinitely. If you wish to object to the making of either Order for the purpose of such indefinite continuation then you may do so within a period of six months:
a. beginning with the day on which the Experimental Order comes into force, or

b. if the Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force.

Such objections should be sent in writing to the Assistant Director - Law and Governance (ref AE), Darlington Borough Council, Town Hall, Darlington DL1 5QT or by e-mail to

trafficorders@darlington.gov.uk

stating which Order you are objecting to and the grounds upon which the objection is made. If any person wishes to question the validity of either Experimental Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may within six weeks from the date of this Notice apply for that purpose to the High Court.
