DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) 2021 CONISCLIFFE ROAD, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:
From its junction with West Street westwards to the junction at the eastern boundary of number 58
STANHOPE ROAD SOUTH From its junction with Coniscliffe Road northwards to the south side of its junction with Uplands Road
An alternative route will be signed via Cleveland Terrace, Cleveland Avenue, Uplands Road and vice versa
WEST STREET - Entirely
At its junction with Stanhope Road South
At its junction with Coniscliffe Road
And to suspend Schedule 40.01 of the Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic) Consolidation Order 2019 to allow two-way traffic on Northumberland Street, entry and exit From Grange Road only. Also, to suspend the closure of the northern carriageway of Coniscliffe Road from its junction with West Street to its junction with Grange Road from the Town Centre Temporary Restrictions Order(ii), to allow two-way traffic on Coniscliffe Road for residents only.
The Order is necessary to allow road surfacing works.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 22nd March 2021, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 2 weeks.
