DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) 2020 SMITH FIELD ROAD, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:
SMITHFIELD ROAD
From a point 43metres west of the west side of Ullswater Avenue westwards to the east side of Gainsborough Court junction
An alternative route will be signed via Neasham Road, Parkside, Park Lane and vice versa.
The Order is necessary to allow site investigation works at the rail bridge.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing From 18th January 2021, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 2 weeks between 0830hours and 1630hours only.
