(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ENTRY & TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT AND RIGHT TURN MOVEMENTS) ORDER 2020
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)
Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough
that the Southend-on-Sea Borough
Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the
RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily, prohibit entry and left and

right turning movements as described below:
To Prohibit Entering
The A127 Prince Avenue from Nestuda Way (Tesco's
roundabout) to its junction with Rochford Road;
The A127 Prince Avenue from Cuckoo Corner Roundabout
to its junction with Hobleythick Lane;
Hobleythick Lane from its junction with Midhurst Avenue
to its junction with the A127 Prince Avenue;
Rochford Road from its junction with Oaken Grange
Drive to its junction with the A127 Prince Avenue;
The A127 Prince Avenue Service Roads between
Prince Close and Hobleythick Lane on the Eastbound
and Westbound carriageways;
The A127 Prince Avenue from its junction with
PrinceClose;
The A127 Prince Avenue from Earls Hall Parade and the service road behind Earls Hall Parade; The A127 Prince Avenue from its junction with Rochford Road to the A127 Prince Avenue Service Road (Princes Court) exit; and
The A127 Prince Avenue from its junction with
Hobleythick Lane to its junction with Colemans Avenue
To Prohibit Left and Right Turns
From the A127 Prince Avenue into Rochford Road; and
From the A127 Prince Avenue, into Hobleythick Lane.
The works are scheduled to commence from 20th April 2020
or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The works will be carried out in phases and whilst the closures
and restrictions are in force, emergency services and residents
access will be maintained where possible. Diversion routes as
required will be signed on site.
The Order will come into effect on 16th April 2020 and may
continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the earlier
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
whilst works connected to The Bell Junction Improvement
Scheme are carried out on these roads.
The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time
and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by
the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL
TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL
DIRECTIONS 2016.
Any veh icle wa it ing in contravent ion of any restrict ion/proh ib ition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004..
