(FOOTPATH NOS1 & 10. CASSOP-CUM QUARRTNGTON PARISH. BOWBURN) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The above-named Order made by the Council on 24/09/18, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 01/10/18 has been continued in force from 01/04/20, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 31/03/21 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily close to all pedestrian traffic 620 mtrs of Footpath No 1 Cassop-cum-Quarrington Parish that extends generally westwards from its inception near Bowburn Services at A688; and also 940 mtrs of Footpath No 10 that extends south westwards between its junctions with Edna Street, Bowburn and Footpath No 1 described above, to enable Integra 61 development works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to pedestrian traffic via the network of rights of way in the Bowburn / Tursdale area.
(FOOTPATH NO 189 STANLEY PARISH, BURNOPFIF.T ,nt (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2020
The Council on 19/3/20 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14(1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 300 m of Fp 189 Stanley Parish that extends southwards from Front St, Burnopfield to Fell Tee, A692 Crookgate Bank to enable electricity supply improvement works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure from Front St A) West onto Footpath No 190 which leads south onto Footpath No 189 (during the northern section of path closure) B) East along Front St then south westerly on Crookgate Bank (during the southern section of path closure) to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 23/3/20 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.

On 19* March 2020, The County Council of Durham confirmed the above order. The effect of the order will be to Divert Public Footpath No. 27 Cornsay Parish from a point on unclassified road 18.25 at the entrance to South Farm, Cornsay, proceeding in a generally south westerly direction through farmyard and along field edge, through the location of the proposed building to stone stile, then north westerly along field edge to a point at the field corner onto a fine running from a point some 60 metres north west of the South Farm entrance on unclassified road 18.25, proceeding in a generally south westerly direction to the north of farm building and along field edges, then south easterly and south westerly around field edge, and then south easterly to the same point at the field corner as shown on the order map

The order came into force on 19 March 2020 the date on which The County Council of Durham certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order has been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desired to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.

The County Council of Durham intend to make an Order under Sections 1,2 & 4 and PL IV of Sen. 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is To introduce No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions on; a.the southwest side of TarmeMi^Rd from a point adj to the side of No. 1 West St for 22m to a point adj to the rear of No.l West St b.
