Prohibition of Vehicles in Excess of 2 Metres Wide, Brough Hall Bridge, Order 2019 Notice is hereby given that on 11/12/19 North Yorkshire County Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2) & 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding along Brough Hall Bridge as specified below:- Brough Hall Bridge - Brough with St Giles - vehicles in excess of 2.0 metres / 6' 6" in width will be prohibited from passing over the above bridge plus an approximate distance of 5 metres on each approach. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 23/12/19, together with a map showing the road affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Colburn Library, The Broadway, Colburn, DL9 4RF during normal office hours from 20/12/19 until 13/01/20 & also viewed online at

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it Is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 11/12/19 make application to the High Court for the purpose.

Various Speed Limits & Derestricted Roads, Various Roads, District of Richmondshire, Amendment Order 2019 Notice is hereby given that on 11/12/19 North Yorkshire County Council made an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which Is specified below:- No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on any length of road specified In Part 1 of the Schedule hereto; No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on any length of road specified in Part 2 of the Schedule hereto; Each length of road specified in Part 3 of the Schedule hereto shall be a derestricted road for the purposes of Section 81 of the Act and shall be subject to the national speed limit of 60 miles per hour; The prohibitions and restrictions Imposed by this Order shall be In addition to and not in derogation from any restriction or requirement imposed by any Order or regulations made or having effect as If made under the Act or by or under any other enactment; Items 21, 22, 23, 24 (Part 3), 26 and 28 (Part 4) in the Schedule to "North Yorkshire County Council (Various Speed Limits and Derestricted Roads) (Various Roads, District of Richmondshire) Order 2018" are hereby revoked in their entirety. Schedule - Roads In The District Of Richmondshire - Part 1 - 30 Mph Speed Limit - A6055, Gatherley Road/Catterick Road, from a point 144 metres north of Its junction with the northern side of Leeming Lane (measured along the eastern kerb line), south westwards to a point 105 metres south west of its junction with the southern side of Leeming Lane (measured along the southern kerb line); Leeming Lane from its junction with the A6055, Gatherley Road/ Catterlck Road, south eastwards to a point 25 metres south east of its junction with the centre line of the southernmost vehicular access to Catterick Racecourse (measured along the western kerb line). Part 2-40 Mph Speed Limit - A6055 (towards Scotch Corner) from its junction with the westernmost tip of the splitter island on the approach to the junction with the A6055, Gatherley Road, north westwards for a distance of 355 metres (measured along the northern kerb line); A6055, Gatherley Road from a point 51 metres south of Its junction with the gate at the limit of the publicly maintainable highway at the northern extent of the road, southwards to a point 144 metres north of Its junction with the northern side of Leeming Lane (measured along the eastern kerb line); C6, Middleton Tyas Lane from a point 62 metres north east of its junction with the easternmost tip of the splitter island on the approach to the junction with Scotch Corner Interchange (measured along the southern kerb line), north eastwards for a distance of 543 metres; A6055, Catterick Road from a point 105 metres south west of its junction with the southern side of Leeming Lane (measured along the southern kerb line), south westwards to a point 82 metres south west of its junction with the centre line of the vehicular access to 'Thornbrough Farm' (measured along the northern kerb line). Part 3 - Derestricted Roads - A6108 from Its junction with the westernmost tip of the splitter Island on the approach to the junction with the A6055 roundabout, westwards for a distance of 20 metres (measured along the northern kerb line); A6055 from Its junction with the southernmost tip of the splitter Island on the approach to the junction with the A6108 roundabout, southwards for a distance of 25 metres (measured along the western kerb line); C6, Middleton Tyas Lane from Its junction with Scotch Corner Interchange, north eastwards to a point 62 metres north east of Its junction with the easternmost tip of the splitter island on the approach to the junction with Scotch Corner Interchange (measured along the southern kerb line). A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 23/12/19, may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Richmond Community Library, Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 7AE during normal office hours from 20/12/19 until 22/01 /20 & also viewed online at
