(BELMONT PARK AND RIDE SITE ACCESS ROAD - PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES EXCEPT BUSES AND ELECTRIC VEHICLES) ORDER 2013 (AMENDMENT NO 1) ORDER 2019

The Council on 28/9/2019 made the above Order under Sections 1,2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. Effective from 4/9/2019 this Order will amend the prohibition of motor vehicles to 'except buses and coaches' Full details can be examined at Belmont library & County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours or via the Council website. If you believe this Order is invalid because it does not comply with the legal requirements, you can apply to the High Court by 24/10/2019.

(B6300 BURNIGILL BANK. BROWNEY) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2019

The Council on 5/9/2019 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding at a speed in excess of 40 mph from a point 230m west of the western side of the junc to Sunderland Bridge and westwards for a distance of 620m, Browney to enable remediation works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 1679/2019. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.

(STATION APPROACH TO TENTER TERRACE. DURHAM CITY) (TEMPORARY FOOTBRIDGE CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 70m of Station Approach Footbridge between its junctions with Station Approach and Tenter Terr/A690, to enable resurfacing works to be undertaken. An alt route will be available to pedestrian traffic from the northern side of the closure from Station Approach westerly to North Rd then south easterly to A690 and the crossing point leading to Tenter Terr to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 30/9/2019 and are anticipated to be completed in 7 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
