(FOOTPATH NO.8. LAMBTON ESTATE.

BOURNMOOR PARISH) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2018

The above-named Order made by the Council on 20/12/18, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 7/1/19 has been continued in force from 8/7/19, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 31/1/20 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily close to all pedestrian traffic 935 mtrs of Footpath No. 8 Bournmoor Parish between its junctions with road A183 and Bridleway No. 4 Bournmoor Parish to enable new housing access road, drainage and associated infrastructure works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the south western side of the closure easterly via the associated footways of A183 then northwards on Bridleway No. 4 to the north eastern side of the closure, and vice versa.

(FOOTPATH NO.82 DURHAM CITY AND OLD

DURHAM FOOTBRIDGE) TEMPORARY FOOTPATH AND FOOTBRIDGE CLOSURE) ORDER 2013

The above-named Order made by the Council on 17/01/13 under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 29/01/13 has been continued in force from 29/7/19 as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 28/7/21 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily close to all pedestrian traffic a 100m length of Footpath No 82 Durham City that extends south westwards from the former railway embankment bridge wall and westwards over the Old Durham Footbridge. An alternative route will be available to pedestrian traffic from the northern side of the closure north westerly along Footpath No. 82 to the riverside Footpath No.80 then southerly to the southern side of the closure and vice versa.

(A688 / A177 DURHAM ROAD / B6291. BOWBURN) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2019

The Council on 25/6719 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 miles per hour along 1190 mtrs of A688 Tursdale Rd from Junction 61 A1(M) interchange in a southerly direction to the north end of Tursdale Business Park, and vice versa. It is also necessary to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 miles per hour along 82 mtrs of A177 Durham Rd in a north westerly direction from Junction 61 A1(M) interchange, and vice versa; along 280 mtrs of A688 in a southerly direction between Junction 61 A1(M) interchange and up to and including the A688/B6291 roundabout, and vice versa; along 75 mtrs of A688 in a north easterly direction from A688/B6291 roundabout, and vice versa; and along 75 mtrs of B6291 in a southerly direction from A688/ B6291 roundabout and vice versa. These restrictions are necessary to enable safe access for two new roundabouts to be constructed and for carriageway improvement works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 4/2/19 and are anticipated to be completed in 18 months.

(B6309 AND B6310 MEDOMSLEY CROSSROADS) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council on 27/6/19 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 2624 mtrs of B6309 from junction with A694 Ebchester in a southerly direction to the Hat and Feather crossroads, and 1711 mtrs of B6310 from junction with Elm Park Rd in a north easterly direction to the junction with C132 Medomsley Edge to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative routes will be signposted from northern point of closure in Ebchester north easterly on A694, then south westerly on B6310 Longclose Bank, then southerly on B6308 Fines Rd, then northerly on B6309, then south westerly on B6308 Medomsley Rd to junction with A691 roundabout, and vice versa; and from northern point of closure in Ebchester in a south westerly direction on A694, then south easterly on A691, then south easterly on A692 to B6309 Durham Rd/A691 roundabout junction, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 7.00am on 11/07/19 working between 7am and 7pm per day and are anticipated to be completed in 6 days. Access will be maintained for emergency services.

(ELIZABETH STREET, ANNFIELD PLAIN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The Council on 27/6/19 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic, except for access to emergency service vehicles, from proceeding on 94 mtrs of Elizabeth St, Annfield Plain to enable essential gas mains replacement works to be

undertaken. Alternative route from the southern point of closure easterly on Welsh Tee and northwards on Thomas St to northern point of closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 8/7/19 and are anticipated to be completed in 2 weeks. Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Council proposes to make the following 4 Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1)

(A68 ALLENSFORD BANK, ALLENSFORD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The effect will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 1580 mtrs of A68 Allensford Bank between its junctions with A692 at Castleside crossroads and Pemberton Rd to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the southern side of the closure from A68 at Castleside crossroads travelling easterly on A692 to Genesis Way roundabout then continuing southerly and north easterly on A692 to Villa Real roundabout then north westerly on A691 to the junction with B6308 Medomsley Road roundabout turning northwards on B6308 to B6309, continuing on B6309 to Medomsley crossroads then westerly on B6310 crossing A691 and continuing on B6278 Snods Edge road to A68 to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence between 7pm and 6am on 22/7/19 and are anticipated to be completed in 8 nights.

(NEW DURHAM ROAD (BACK LANE). ANNFIELD PLAIN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The effect will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 113 mtrs of New Durham Rd, Annfield Plain (back lane) from junction at rear of 1 Durham Rd in an easterly direction to junction at rear of 18 Durham Rd to enable essential gas mains replacement works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the western point of closure east on Durham Rd, then south on unnamed Rd at rear of St Aidan Church to eastern point of closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on 22/7/19 and are anticipated to be completed in 2 weeks. Access will be maintained for emergency services.

(DELVES LANE AND IVESTON ROAD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The effect will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 1013 mtrs of C16A Delves Ln, Consett between the junction with Pixley Dell in a north westerly direction to Gloucester Rd, and 131 mtrs of Iveston Rd from the junction with Delves Ln in a north easterly direction to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure from Delves Ln northwards to A692 Rotary Way roundabout, then north eastwards to Leadgate Rd roundabout and continuing south easterly on A692 roundabout to A691, then south easterly to Stockerley Rd, and south westerly to Delves Ln to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 25/7/19 between 7am and 7pm and are anticipated to be completed in 18 days. Access will be maintained for emergency services.

(B6312 WITTON ROAD, SACRISTON) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

The effect will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 676 mtrs of B6312 Witton Rd, Sacriston from the junction with Fernwood south westerly to the junction with Norburn Park to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure in a southerly direction on B6532 to Blackic Boy roundabout at Framwellgate Moor, then south westerly on Drybum Park to Sniperley roundabout, then north westerly on A691, then north easterly on B6312 Witton Gilbert to southern point of closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 27/7/19 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 days (daily between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm).

On occasions, alternative dates for the above closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.

(DORLONCO VILLAS. CENTRAL AVENUE. BURN1G1LL. SOUTH VIEW AND WEST VIEW, BROWNEY) (20MPH SPEED ZONE) ORDER 2019

The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 and 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph Zone on (1) Dorlonco Villas from a point 3m from jet with B6300 Browney Ln for its entire length (2) South View from jet with Central Ave and West View for its entire length (3) Central Ave from a point 5m from jet with A690 Low Willington for its entire length (4) West View From a point 6m from jet with A690 Low Willington for its entire length (5) Burnigill from jet with West View and Central Ave for its entire length. A copy of the draft Order and plan may be inspected at Brandon Library and at County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the council website.
