LEIGHTON Kenneth Karen and Simon are sad to announce Kenneth's death on 10th June, 2022 aged 90. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, father-in-law, uncle, friend and neighbour to many. The funeral service will be held at 1.30pm on Friday 1st July at St. Catherine's Church, Crook, followed by a cremation at Durham Crematorium at 3pm. Family flowers only please, but donations to St Catherine's Church funds will be welcomed either directly or via Gibsons Funeral Services, 41 Bridge Street, Howden-le-Wear, Crook, Co Durham, DL15 8EX. Gone but never forgotten.

I'd like to offer my belated condolences to Kenny's family, so sorry to read about your loss. I grew up at the same time as Kenny, he was a year older that I was. We often bumped into each other at the Elite, we both liked the dances, I haven't seen Kenny for 40 years or more. We we were not really close friends just good friends. The Kenny I knew was always the gentleman and stood out in a crowd. He was the best dressed lad about town, I guess working at Burton's on the corner helped him out with that. I have photos of Kenny on my website from way back in the 50's with some of his close friends. Sadly the circle of friends in our age group is getting smaller much too soon.
