Sending you my sincere condolences Allison. Clive was a true gentleman and a devoted and loving husband. May the memories of all the wonderful years together sustain and comfort you, now, and in the future. So sorry, Linda Robinson (nee Swinbank).

The world is a poorer place without Clive in it. This funny, clever, thoughtful, giving, loving, witty, Christian gentleman was an absolute honour to have known. He helped my wife back to church and me to build a bike. Clive and Allison always gave so, so, much as an indomitable team. There was always laughter, cycling, ginger pudding, gardening, and an almost unnatural knowledge of Darlington and of its inhabitants.

Both my wife and I look forward to seeing him again once this work is done. To Allison and his family our deepest sympathy and our sincerest love.

You will be sadly missed, friend.

Phil, Sharon and Rose Beattie.
