PATTERSON Gilbert Ernest (Ernie) D.F.M. October 11, of Darlington, aged 96 years. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Kay), much loved dad to Keith, our late Ken, Barry and Katharine, also a dearly loved grandad, great-grandad and father-in-law and much loved friend to many. Funeral Monday October 28, at 1:15pm, at St. Mary's Church, Cockerton Green, Darlington, DL3 9EG, followed by private interment. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to The British Heart Foundation.

Sign in to add a tributeErnie remodelled Rose Cottage Croft almost single handed then headed to Brough Moor Lodge Skeeby to sort that out for us he remodelled with his usual enthusiasm and laughter so much laughter
Ernie made a lasting impression on our two sons and our daughter as they grew up with tales of the part he played in the war they really sat up and listened he was so young to go to war, we were lucky to share his experience and thank goodness he lived to tell the tale
Jeff and I are away for the next three weeks so sorry not to say goodbye on Oct 28th our thoughts will be with you
