CLOSE October 12, peacefully and with dignity, after a short illness, Christopher Michael (Chris Close) of Howden Le Wear, formerly Helme Park Hall Hotel, aged 74 years. Dearest partner of Lesley, a loving and cherished father to Helen and Alex, beloved pop to Sam, Emily and Joshua, also a very dear friend to many. Will family and friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium, on Friday, October 25, at 10:30am. Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Chris for the Macmillan Nurses and Pancreatic Cancer Research UK, may if desired be left at the crematorium or sent c/o Gibsons Funeral Services, Craddock House, 25 Cockton Hill Road, Bishop Auckland, DL14 6EN.
