NICHOLSON Derek, aged 67, passed away November 28, at home in Sadberge. Much loved husband of Pauline, father of Christopher and Claire, dear son of Brenda and the late Charles, and brother to Godfrey. Sadly missed by all his family and friends who are welcome to join us for a Celebration of Remembrance at Cockerton Methodist Church, Darlington on Friday, December 14, at 11.30am. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu would be greatly appreciated for St Teresa's Hospice, the Butterwick Hospice and the MND Association who have supported Derek and his family. A plate will be available in Church or c/o Seaton Leng & Son Ltd, 59a Bondgate, Darlington DL3 7JR.

Saddened to hear about Derek’s death. As a fellow member of the Durham RE Teacher Community , I have many lovely memories of working with him. Always highly respected, supportive and a gifted teacher who could always be relied upon to make us laugh at our many, sometimes ‘serious ‘ Network meetings. RIP lovely man and sincere condolences to his family.

We will always remember Derek with a smile, he was full of fun and enjoyed the pub banter, we will miss him at the Crown.

Our thoughts are with you Pauline and also the family, we will be there to celebrate his life on Friday.
