HEWITT April 2, suddenly Alan aged 86 years of Shildon. Dearly loved brother of Pauline, Elsie, George and the late Sheila and John, much loved brother-in-law of Cliff and Anne, also a sadly missed uncle. Will family and friends please meet for service in Wear Valley Crematorium on Wednesday April 18, at 10.30am. Family flowers only.

George, Elsie, Pauline and family.
I would like to write a few words about a special man and a very close friend, I hope that is ok?
Alan was a true gentleman, he saw people for what they are! ( sometimes he ever told them so).
He was a hard working man, with very high standards in everything he did,
His love for his horses over the years was amazing, unless you are are horse person yourself you won't understand, they take over your life, and that's what happened to Alan, and that's how we met and stayed friends for many years.
He was a true friend who i loved and respected, I will miss him so much.
