A YOUNG football fan who suffers from a serious lung condition is to take part in a charity run to help others with the same illness. Despite suffering from obliterative broncholitis, Darlington Football Club fan Adam Cameron, 12, has signed up for the Junior North Run to raise money for charity Breathtakers. The rare condition, which results in permanent scarring on the lungs, has no cure and can be relieved with physiotherapy, oxygen, and in severe cases, can require a lung transplant. Adam’s classmates at Darlington Education Village have also helped his fundraising bid by holding a quiz night to raise money for the charity.
