More than 360,000 people have been forced to move home in the past year because of irritating neighbours, new research shows.
The number of house-owners who have moved away to escape nightmare neighbours has increased by a third over the last two years, according to a study of 2,000 adults by Halifax Home Insurance.
The most frequent complaints included aggressive behaviour, loud noise, messy gardens and houses and even stealing.
Martyn Foulds, senior claims manager at Halifax Home Insurance, said: "Having a good neighbour is one of the most rewarding things a home-owner can experience - not only will they keep an eye on your property when you're away, but they may also become a close friend."
