DARLINGTON Mowden Park Sharks winger Georgina Roberts was one of six try scorers as England Women maintained their unbeaten start to the Six Nations Championship with a 43-3 win in Italy.
Roberts scored England's third try of a successful afternoon in Genoa shortly before the half-time interval.
The 27-year-old, who is based in Peterlee, rounded off a slick passing move that involved captain Sarah Hunter and scrum-half Latoya Mason.
Mowden Park second row Tamara Taylor was also heavily involved in the victory, with fly-half Katy McLean coming off the bench for the final half-an-hour after she was rested for the remainder of the game.
England head coach Gary Street said: "We're delighted to get another win under our belts. The performance was a mixed bag really. Some of our tries were world class and we showed some real brilliance but we also struggled a bit.
"Next up, we face Wales at Twickenham in two weeks' time. We now have a week to iron out some areas of our game as we know Wales will like nothing better than inflicting a win on us on our home turf."
