A halt was called a few minutes early in the Alan Todd Memorial match between Middlesbrough and Stockton when Alan's grandson, Matthew, suffered a neck injury.
The centre collided with a Middlesbrough team-mate when trying to defend the line and with the scores level at 19-19 it was decided to end the game. Boro had led 19-0 but Stockton came back with two tries by No 8 Scott Powell, both converted by Jeremy Good, who also scored a try.
