VERSATILE forward Joe Craggs has extended his time with Darlington Mowden Park.

Craggs has become the eighth player to commit to the club ahead of the 2017/18 season.

He has started 20 out of the 25 games so far this season after cementing himself as an invaluable member of the squad.

Mowden's director of rugby Danny Brown said: “We’re delighted that Joe, a local lad who’s been at the club from the age of seven, has progressed through all the age groups into a first team regular.

"He’s really been enjoying his rugby, which shows in his performances this year. Joe has took a role in lineouts and other key areas and his experience and enthusiasm is great to have around the club.”

Craggs is delighted to be staying on. He said: “It's a pleasure to be able to sign for Mowden again next year. I've had a great time this year and I'm really enjoying my rugby.”

Craggs, who has crossed the whitewash twice for Mowden this year, has started games in both the second row and back row.
