Darlington match called off
DARLINGTON'S League Two clash with Chester City tonight has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
An inspection was brought forward from 1.30pm to 11am and following an inspection by a local referee, the decision was made to call the game off, despite the efforts of groundsman Gary Ventress and his staff.
Tonight's game would have seen Dave Penney's men play their game in hand on leaders MK Dons, who are four points clear of third-placed Darlington.
Quakers had reduced ticket prices for the match, which was originally postponed due to a frozen pitch in December.
The game has now been re-arranged for Tuesday, March 4 (7.30pm).
Meanwhile today's planned race meeting at Sedgefield was also abandoned after an early morning inspection because of a frozen track.
