DARLINGTON Mowden Park introduce two new forwards on their 750-mile round trip to Plymouth today.

Both are locks, although Neath-born Jack Jones has been selected at blindside, while Lorenzo Cemecetti, from Rome, joins Talite Vaioleti in the second row after impressing for the Development XV.

Although Mowden signed several locks in their search for a replacement for Rob Conquest, who joined Coventry, they have twice played Joe Craggs in the second row. He is back at open side today.

Jones was only 18 when he was appointed Swansea RFC skipper for the 2011/12 season, making 17 appearances. He spent the following season on loan at the Ospreys’ partner club in Italy, Rugby Rovigo, playing 15 times in the Italian Super 10 competition.

With two props injured and Gareth Nesbit unavailable after coming out of retirement last week, Mowden have Darren Fearn at loose head and Chris Woods as their only front row cover on the bench.

Will Murray returns on the left wing in place of Pete Homan, whose fellow Teessider, Adam Radwan, is on the bench. Now in Newcastle Falcons' senior academy, Radwan is following in the footsteps of another ex-Billingham winger, Tom Kill, who has been out injured for a year.

After accompanying Newcastle Falcons to south Wales in his role as forwards coach last night, Micky Ward will be back on Tyneside today hoping for an improvement in his Blaydon side.

They go into their bottom v top clash against Hartpury College without a win in six games and will be hoping conditions don't suit the lively students.

Along with fellow coach Andrew Baggett, who returns at fly half, Ward will emphasise discipline following a costly spate of yellow cards.

Blaydon are unable to call on Brett Connon, who was in the Falcons line-up against Ospreys last night, but prop Andrew Foster, who was on the bench, was due to return with Ward.

Hooker Matt Thompson starts for only the second time with Jack Beckwith dropping to the bench, which also features lock Anthony Davies following injury and Falcons Development XV scrum half Ruaridh Dawson.

Although they lost heavily in Gloucestershire last season, Blaydon were beaten only 28-22 by Hartpury at home.

Tynedale visit Caldy in Two North with with Joe Mills and Max Davies returning alongside skipper Scott Powell in the back row. With Ash Smith absent again, Jamie Dixon comes into the centre and Ben Haigh starts at tight head after coming on from the bench for the last few games.

It's a rest day for the lower leagues, but Billingham have arranged to go to South Shields to play their Durham Cup tie against Westoe.

After a poor start following relegation to Durham and Northumberland One, Westoe have found some form with ex-colt Jake Arnold making an impact at fly half. There are still a number of stalwarts in the pack, including hooker Raymie Elliot, lock John Younghusband and flanker Joe McKenzie.

Billingham recall Dom McAlorum and Michael Whin to the pack with Anth Rumis and Dan Burns dropping to the bench, while Paul Shepherd is on the wing for Martin Hopley.
