The 27-year-old is skip at her third Olympics, having made her debut in Vancouver. Curling runs in the family. Her father Gordon competed for Britain at the 1992 Games in Albertville, when it was a demonstration sport, and brothers Glen and Thomas were on the men’s team here.

Anna Sloan

Vice-skip Sloan, 27, has multiple European and world medals. She began playing as a child in Lockerbie and is a key component of the team. She is also in a relationship with Glen Muirhead.

Vicki Adams

A European, world and Olympic medallist with Team Muirhead, Adams was born in Edinburgh and lived in Majorca as a child before moving to Stranraer. It was there she began curling.

Lauren Gray

Glasgow-born Gray, 26, was the alternate four years ago, but is now the lead, throwing the first two stones. She too has multiple world and European medals.

Kelly Schafer

At 36 years, 10 months, the alternate (or reserve) is the oldest athlete in the British Olympics team. Schafer has represented Britain at two prior Games, but is new to Team Muirhead.
