MAX Mosley has sounded a defiant note on the eve of a World Motorsports Council meeting that could decide his future.
The boss of world motorsport - who is at loggerheads with eight Formula One teams over his plans to make the sport cheaper - said he was prepared to stand for re-election.
Team bosses had been calling on Mosley to stand down after their disagreement exploded at the weekend.
Teams have threatened to set up their own alternative to the F1 Championship unless Mosley drops plans to cap their spending.
Since then some teams have made Mosley's departure a condition for their return to the negotiating table.
