CROFT Circuit near Darlington is set for another busy calendar of high-octane action for 2017 capped by the prestigious mid-summer British Touring Car Championship as well as the popular Nostalgia Weekend, meaning fans will be kept entertained season-long from start to finish.

The circuit blasts back into action next month with the opening round of the MSA British Rallycross Championship on March 19th with 600bhp cars doing battle on the part gravel, part tarmac course. The week after it’s two and three wheeled action with the North East Motorcycle Racing Club’s opening championship round.

Darlington and District Motor Club host their annual Sprint meeting on Easter Monday followed by BARC and 750 Motor Club race meetings over the following couple of months before the biggest meeting of the year rolls into the historic North Yorkshire track with the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship over the 10/11th June. This year sees the 20th anniversary of the series visiting the North East which is always a favourite amongst the title contenders and will doubtless be the scene for some spectacular battles and intense action.

July sees Croft hosting three meetings for both classic cars and bikes as well as modern cars before all attention turns to the popular Nostalgia Weekend which takes place on August 5/6th. Now in its eighth year, the combination of the retro theme both on and off the track will see thousands descend on the region as part of the tribute to a bygone era.

The past is acknowledged again later in August with the traditional Battle of Britain race meeting which sees two, three and four wheels on the same bill before the circuit racing season is rounded off in September with a couple more club meetings for cars.

As autumn approaches, it’s the turn of Rallycross to take centre stage with the final round of the MSA British Championship headlining with the prestigious MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix in late October with the final round of the BTRDA Rallycross Championship taking place in early November. A busy 2017 season will end with the traditional Christmas Stages Rally held over the festive period which is expected to draw thousands as normal.
