IT WAS a great turn out from Aycliffe Running Club at the annual Ravenstonedale 10k on Saturday 26 November. Weather was cold but bright and the ground was frosty and icy in places.  The undulating course was in around the picturesque village of Ravenstonedale near Kirkby Stephen.

First home for the club and placing 5th overall was John Surtees in 36:46. Next came Dez Fielden in 37:47, Richard Campbell in 40:28, Tommy Scott in 41:31, Peter Milburn in 41:35, Lee Wren in 43:24, Martyn Knox in 43:53 and Susan Cranswick who was the first lady home for the club and recorded a new 10k personal best in 45:00. Then came Robert Young in 45:25, John Burnside in 45:49, Matt Heron in 46:20, Michelle Zamir in 47:04, Rob Jayne in 48:17, Roger Haslett in 49:29, Penny Johnson in 50:47, Susan Milburn in 51:03, Mick Brunskill in 52:53, Rob Nicholson in 53:28, Gary Minns in 55:02, Alan Kellett in 55:22, Trish Kay in 55:31, Bev Phillippo in 57:29, Ian Baronowski in 58:35, Anne Kellett in 59:34, Judith Porter in 01:00:30, Susan Clark in 01:05:01 and Ray Todd in 01:07:37.

Category prizes were awarded to Peter Milburn for male over 55, Susan Milburn for female over 55 and Ray Todd for male over 75.
