ELVET STRIDERS had an excellent day with some great performances in the penultimate cross country fixture of the season at Alnwick.
The ladies team has been riding high all season and are currently sitting sixth in the top flight division one.
The gents put on a great performance following lots of motivational encouragement (and even more hill training!) from XC captain Geoff Davis. The Striders men's team was first on the day in division two and is currently sitting just below mid-table in their division.
However, it really is all to run for at the final fixture of the season in Wrekenton on 14th March because any two of six teams, including Elvet Striders, could be relegated to divison three.
For the final race next month Elvet needs as many runners as possible turning out in a bid to push other teams further down the placings. We need registered club runners of all abilities, not just our super speedies so sharpen your spikes, pin your number to your vest and turn up with your best cakes.
