IT WAS a great turn out from Aycliffe Running Club at the annual Ravenstonedale 10k on Saturday 26 November. Weather was cold but bright and the ground was frosty and icy in places. The undulating course was in around the picturesque village of Ravenstonedale near Kirkby Stephen.

ON 5 November club runner Mark Wade participated in Hellvellyn 10k trail race, which is part of the Lakeland Trail series. The conditions on the day were cold but sunny; ideal running weather. Mark completed the race in an impressive time of 37:39 and placed 2nd overall.

AFTER AN extremely quiet previous week Witton Castle Lakes welcomed 12 dedicated anglers this last week who braved the cold temperatures to fish the lakes. With the going very hard they saw limited success with bag numbers kept into single figures.
