PROVING that he is still on winning form, North Yorkshire's Paul Barker secured his second ticket to the Horse of the Year Show, this time taking top spot in the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier held at Bramham International Trials.
With three qualification places available for the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show, the class proved to be a great competition for competitors and spectators alike.
From an initial starting field of forty-eight, just ten produced a clear round to take their place in the jump off.
Paul Barker from Northallerton gave the winning performance on board John Steels’ 7 year-old bay gelding, Gait L. After producing a foot perfect clear in the first round, this combination went on to storm the jump-off to claim a lightning fast double clear in 36.65 seconds.
