The Snake Lane 10 is a very popular race, filling up quickly once entries are open.

Three Harriers were among the field of 934 on a fine morning for this race which snakes around in places, mostly level, with a few sneaky hills. Rob Lickley, continuing to go well, finished 128th in 68.14 with Charlotte Wilton 187th in 71.20 and Phillip Craig 675th in 93.49 and all were pleased with their times.

Alan Harman is back into half marathon mode for the event at Harewood. Races there are always hilly and cold winds were noticeable, with an occasional touch of sun to give relief at times. Alan came 501st out of 818 in 2.12.38.

The Tees Barrage 5k Trail Race, part of the Stockton Winter Series, began in the vicinity of the Barrage, close to the white water course, before continuing through one of the many country parks in the area.

About 150 runners were involved, on a perfect sunny, though cool, morning and Ian Codling completed the course in 37.35 with Marian Codling taking 40.03.

Park Runs are many and varied tis weekend, though only a couple of members were among the 379 at Fountains Abbey this week, Paul Adams 198th in 28.28 and Nigel Morgan 220th in 29.16.

At Northallerton, Ken Wood came 2nd out of 88 in 20.33 with Tracey Lowther 39th in 28.23. Charlotte Wilton had her regular run at Albert Park, finishing 70th out of 325 in 22.32.

Ken Evitt and Leah were at Darlington South Park, 234th in 31.20. Andy Butcher had an awayday for the event at Goole coming 24th out of 150 in 24.47, and Hayley Tyson at Sheffield Hallam was 183rd out of 620 in 24.09.

Ian and Gillian Crane were coping with the heat of South Africa in the Lillydale Lake event, with Ian 71st out of 205 in 26.53 and Gillian 126th in 33.22.
