NORTH Yorkshire trainer Ferdy Murphy celebrated his first winner of this year's Cheltenham Festival this afternoon when Naiad Du Misselot claimed the Coral Cup.
The seven-year-old hurdler held off top-weight Kicks For Free in a thrilling photo finish.
Murphy, who trains at West Witton near Leyburn, had a second with New Alco earlier this week, but Naiad Du Misselot maintains his fantastic strike rate at the Festival.
Naiad Du Misselot was returned as the 7-1 joint second favourite.
