MONDAY afternoon's jumps meeting at Sedgefield has passed a fifth course inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.

Course officials assessed conditions repeatedly after a first inspection at 7.30am, and then further checks at 9.30am and 11am, noon and 1pm as "some areas of filled ground are currently frozen".

Temperatures have dropped to as low as minus 3C, but it is forecast to rise to a maximum daytime high of 4C.

The going is soft, good to soft in places.
