PEACE And Co is the intended runner rather than Bristol De Mai of the Simon Munir and Isaac Souede-owned pair in Saturday's JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial at Cheltenham.

A total of 16 juveniles have been entered for the Grade Two contest and there is likely to be a shake-up in the betting for the main event in March afterwards.

Nicky Henderson's Peace And Co created a major impression when winning on his British debut at Doncaster, and so did the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Bristol De Mai at Chepstow.

However, this has been Peace And Co's favoured option for some time.

Anthony Bromley, who bought both horses for Munir and Souede and acts acts their racing manager, said: "The plan has always been to run Peace And Co in this but Simon and Isaac agreed it made sense to enter Bristol De Mai.

"It is only Monday and a lot can happen in six days, but Bristol De Mai would only run if Peace And Co didn't. There's no point in them taking each other on at this stage.

"Since Peace And Co won at Doncaster we've wanted him to run in this race so he could get a taste of Cheltenham.

"Plan B would be for Bristol De Mai to run. As he's ready to run this weekend there's a chance he might go to Sandown for a race next week rather than wait for the Victor Ludorum, we'll see.

"The next couple of weeks are going to clear up an awful lot. We could have a cold spell and have everything frozen off and then we're all struggling to get a run."

Henderson has also entered Bivouac, while Alan King has put in Karezak.

Paul Nicholls has spoken highly of Ibis Du Rheu ahead of his British debut, and Willie Mullins has put in Dicosimo, a winner in France.

Cape Caster and Zarib are others who have already won well this season.
