BILLY McKinlay and Robbie Stockdale have been appointed joint caretaker managers ahead of this weekend’s Tees-Wear derby, Sunderland AFC have announced.
The move comes after the sacking of Simon Grayson as Sunderland manager following Tuesday night's draw with Bolton Wanderers at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland AFC said: "A further announcement regarding the vacant manager’s position will be made in due course."
