Much has changed for Sunderland since they last faced Everton just four months ago.

Sam Allardyce was in charge for the 3-0 victory which secured Premier League survival and, incredibly, just four players from that Black Cats line-up started in the draw with Southampton last time out.

Take a look at what happened to the side who beat Everton on May 11 and whether they are likely to play against the Toffees on Monday.

Vito Mannone - The Italian goalkeeper started Sunderland's first two league games under David Moyes but tore elbow ligaments during a training session. The former Arsenal shot-stopper is now anticipated to be out for three months after having surgery. Replacement? Jordan Pickford.

DeAndre Yedlin - The American full-back established himself as a fans' favourite during his loan spell from Tottenham but made a permanent move to Newcastle during the summer transfer window. Replacement? Javier Manquillo

Younes Kaboul - Despite being a key member of Allardyce's defence, Kaboul was let go by Moyes. The Frenchman left the Stadium of Light after starting the first game this campaign, joining Watford for £3m. Replacement? Papy Djilobodji

Lamine Kone - he scored twice in this fixture last season and despite rumoured interest from Everton during the transfer window, the Ivory Coast international remains with Sunderland. Expected to play.

Patrick van Aanholt - The Dutch international opened the scoring against Everton in May and has appeared in every game so far this season, netting a consolation goal against Middlesbrough. Expected to play.

Yann M'Vila - After a successful loan spell last season, M'Vila looked set to join Sunderland on a permanent deal but remained with parent club Rubin Kazan. The 26-year-old is contracted with the Russian club until January. Replacement? Jack Rodwell

Lee Cattermole - Sunderland's longest serving player hasn't seen any action so far this season after having hernia surgery. Cattermole is set to return in October after resuming light training. Replacement - Lynden Gooch

Jan Kirchhoff - After getting through 90 minutes against Rochdale in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday, Kirchhoff could be in line for a return to the first-team. The German has been out with a hamstring injury picked up in pre-season and may not be rushed back into the first-team. Replacement? Steven Pienaar

Wahbi Khazri - Despite an impressive half a season under Allardyce, Khazri has found opportunities hard to come by this campaign and has made just one sub appearance in the Premier League. The Tunisian will hope to force his way into Moyes' plans but is not likely to start. Replacement? Adnan Januzaj

Fabio Borini - Borini made a welcome return against Southampton but suffered a groin injury whilst taking a free-kick, ruling him out for three months. This left Jermain Defoe as the only fit striker and forced Moyes to bring in Victor Anichebe on a free transfer. Definitely not playing. Replacement? Duncan Watmore

Jermain Defoe - A key man in Sunderland's fight against relegation last season, Defoe could prove pivotal again this campaign. The 33-year-old will be looking for his third goal of the season against the Toffees. Expected to play.
