EMANUELE GIACCHERINI has left Sunderland after completing a move to Napoli.

The Italy international, a starring light for his country at the Euros, has signed a three-year deal with the naples club after signing a three-year deal.

Giaccherini, 31, is understood to have cost Napoli £1.5m after entering the final year of his contract and it brings to an end his three-year stay on Wearside.

The playmaker had also interested Bologna, where he was on loan last season, Torino and Fiorentina. Napoli, however, have offered him Champions League football and he was quick to accept the challenge.
