SUNDERLAND keeper Vito Mannone has agreed a new contract with the Black Cats.

The Italian shot-stopper has penned a new two-year deal, keeping him on Wearside until 2018.

The 28-year-old initially joined Sunderland from Arsenal in 2013 and has since made 69 appearances.

In 2014 he saved two penalties in a shoot-out at Old Trafford, sending the Black Cats to the Capital One Cup Final.
