STEVEN FLETCHER has moved to Sheffield Wednesday after his Sunderland contract officially came to an end.

The Scotland striker became a free agent today after spending the last four years on the pay-roll at the Stadium of Light.

Fletcher, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille, has had a number of options, with offers from Turkey and England as well as links to France.

But the 29-year-old has signed a four-year deal at Hillsborough and intends to fire the Owls to the Premier League next season.
