SUNDERLAND (4-1-4-1):

8 Mannone:  The game had already been won, but he still produced three superb second-half saves to prevent Everton mounting a comeback

7 Yedlin: Has made the right-back spot his own in the second half of the season and once again combined resolute defending with spirited attacking play

8 KABOUL: Sensational against the dangerous Lukaku, winning a succession of 50-50 challenges, and excellent bringing the ball out of defence

8 Kone: Produced another dominant and imposing defensive performance, and displayed a clinical streak to claim two goals

8 Van Aanholt: Here, there and everywhere down the left, and while his goal was somewhat fortuitous, he has improved dramatically under Allardyce

7 Kirchhoff: His arrival in the January transfer window was a major turning point – ran things from the base of midfield once again

8 Borini: Has provided a key attacking presence in the second half of the season, with his work rate as impressive as his technical ability

7 Cattermole: His energy and attitude has clearly rubbed off on those around him – never gave Everton’s midfielders a moment of peace

8 M’Vila: Drove Sunderland forward after a relatively quiet start and clearly relishes the physicality and intensity of the English game

7 Khazri: His dangerous set-piece delivery was a key factor in two of Sunderland’s goal – another January addition who has had a massive effect

8 Defoe: Might not have scored, but did just about everything else – the key figure in Sunderland’s successful survival push

Subs:

Larsson (for Kirchhoff, 69): Brought on to help calm things down in the closing stages and did everything that was asked of him 6

O’Shea (for Cattermole, 77)

Watmore (for Khazri, 85)
