SUNDERLAND and Norwich City have been charged with failing to control their players and staff during Saturday’s game at Carrow Road.
The Football Association have opted to charge both clubs after a touchline clash in the early stages of the game, which Sunderland won 3-0. Both clubs have until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the charge.
Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce was at the heart of Saturday’s incident, which came after a heavy challenge from Norwich winger Robbie Brady sent Black Cats defender DeAndre Yedlin careering into the advertising hoardings close to the managerial technical areas.
